Political campaigns -how they market themselves

So today I was approached by a candidate from PPDD ,fighting for a place in my living area.

I was sitting on a bench when he wanted to give me a flyer with his name and a calendar and I have refused him.After that he asked me if I know have many illegally things happen at an election section. Again I have said I am not interested .

My question is why they don't know to market themselves and properly advertise .I have yet not seen a candidate who actually is telling what he will do for the people from his college .In my opinion they should adopt a PUSH strategy and not wait for their possible voters to go and search online or in traditional media for what they promise to do ( I really dont trust any of the politicians with their campaigns  promises or any other promises)

So all the politicians adopt a bad tactic in their struggler to get our votes ,Pull instead of Push .
